“Chet Baker In New York” was the second album Chet Baker recorded for the Riverside label and saw him collaborating with a number of east coast jazz musicians Al Haig Johnny Griffin Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. This meeting of styles led to one of the most interesting jazz albums of the 1950's producing such songs as “Hotel 49” “When Lights Are Low” and “Blue Thoughts” all presented for the first time in a 24 bit remastered sound. - A.B.
